The Look of Patch and Frisky
Developed as an alternative look to the likes of Paw Patrol and Peter Rabbit (hugely successful, just hugely different to Patch and Frisky!), the show has a watercolour animation style which can efficiently create a visual feast, with a look and feeling that will immerse the viewer in the world.
In the image above, look at the translucent butterfly, the galvonised metal on the watering can against the colour pallete of the world.
In our early discussions with with Studio Liddell, we felt we could achieve a beautiful and colourful environment with CG evoking a watercolour feel, perfect for flowers and all things of the natural world, with 3D CG for the living bugs, birds and fluffy things that inhabit it.
